Get perfectly shaped eye brows | Pin Up Perfection

Pin Up perfection. Brow shape

I have got to say , one of the best things that I love about make up is transforming peoples faces , simply by altering the shape of their brows.

The right brow shape can really transform a face as it frames the eyes and creates a instant lift in that area . So forget the ‘Croydon face lift !’ Tackling the brows and perfecting that shape can instantly knock years off you and make your eyes appear more open.
Over the years I have come across hundreds of beautiful faces that need some much needed brow attention. Not all of us are lucky enough to have lovely, filled and fruity brows like Cara Delevingne, not us that lived our youth through the late 90s/early norties anyhow! When the Marlene Dietrich brow was well in fashion. Those frail little hairs didn’t stand a chance!
The one thing that absolutely wows my clients is the brow shape. I study the face shape and create a brow that best suits them.
Take time out every other week to give your brows a bit of attention. I promise you, it will instantly do you wonders …

Wondering where the heck do I begin? Well here is some small steps to getting it right …

1. Start by brushing up your hairs towards you forehead with a brow brush . Take some brow scissors and trim away any noticeable long hairs that stick out and don’t sit nicely on the brow bone.
2. Make yourself aware of what face shape you have, study you face for a moment in the mirror. This will help you determine whether to square or round off your brows for best results.
3. Now take a look at the main diagram. When starting out, get a dark brow pencil ( something that stands out from your natural brow colour)  and draw dots at each point on your brow, then basically join up the dots .
The inner edge of your brow should line up with the outside of your nose.
– The highest point of your arch should be where the diagonal line extending from the outside of your nose to the outside of your pupil would hit.
The outer edge of your brow should taper off at the point where your eyebrow and the diagonal line from your nose to the outside corner of your eye would intersect.
The bottom of the inner and outer edges of your brow should line up horizontally.
 4. Then when you have your brow shape, pluck away any hairs that aren’t within your drawn brow shape.
5. Brush up your hairs again and now that you have your brow shape, trim away any hairs that don’t sit within that shape .
6. Remove the dark pencil, and there you have it , a lovely , perfect brow shape 🙂

If your hair is really sparce on your brows, still do the steps above. Then…

* Take a brow gel , or a fine, well sharpened pencil. and draw back in fine hair like strokes , your hairs back in.  Take a look at the attached images to help you with this process. Blunt pencils and cakey gels give the brows a drawn on look which really doesn’t look good so getting the right product is key.
The products I use and recommend is
NYX Eye brow gel from Amazon. This brow gel is great because its fine, easy to apply, and WATERPROOF! So your brows don’t rub off half way through the day
MAC COSMETICS fling . This colour is great. Its fab for people with very very light brows or grey brows that just need a bit of depth .

Rimmel high street. These brow pencils are good if you are on a budget . they are waxy and longlasting.
